Your web site may include pages that you don't want search engines to index. For example, if your site includes a message board with questions and notes from customers, it's usually a bad idea for these message board pages to be index. The pages change often, the questions and comments may not be positive, and people who post messages rarely want their names and e-mail addresses (which frequently appear in message board postings) included in search engine results.
Fortunately, there's a way to alert search engines that pages should be skipped. If you don't want a page to be indexed, include this tag in the BODY element of each web page to be skipped:
