Gift to Give Your Boxing Guy

A big, fat punching bag could melt a man's heart. Or perhaps your boxing pal has all the punching bags he needs but would enjoy tickets to the hottest match coming to town. A number of boxing gifts for men are available to suit a number of styles, needs and personalities.
Gear
Boxing, fitness and sports retailers have a wide array of boxing gear for practical guys who would like a practical boxing gift. Speed bags, heavy punching bags with or without stands, boxing gloves, shorts and protective gear are several options as long as you know the guy's size and bag weight preferences. Boxing robes, footwear, sweatbands and workout sweats can also make for useful gifts.
Gizmos
Many men dig electronics and other gizmos, and there are plenty of those in the boxing gift arena. Electronic timers include big, boxy interval timers you plug into the wall, handheld interval ring timers and small battery-operated personal timers to use for timing boxing rounds, jumping rope or other training activities. Sports and boxing stores can stock such gizmos.
Goofy
Goofy gifts and novelty boxing items can work for the guy with a sense of humor. Boxing key rings are big, with choices including pewter boxing footwear, boxing logos, boxing headgear and boxing gloves. Miniature boxing gloves also come in vinyl key rings or as a small set to hang from a vehicle's rearview mirror. Humorous or novelty boxing T-shirts, bumper stickers, license plate frames, baseball caps, banners and posters are options, as is a small speed bag with suction cup that can grace your boxing man's desk for an instant anger diffuser. One bag even talks when you punch it. Oversize boxing gloves, inflatable punching bags and boxing toys for kids are other goofy ideas. Toy stores and novelty shops are your best bet for goofy gifts, although boxing retailers can stock a few.
Other
Boxing books, magazines, training guides, DVDs and other reading material can work for the guy who wants to learn more about the sport. A gym membership or boxing lessons are other options as long as the idea of lessons does not offend your gift recipient. Personalized boxing gifts for your pal are other options. Specialized print shops can often create custom stickers, posters or even T-shirts with a funny saying, illustration or photo of your boxing man. And if he's a really good friend with a lot of space and you happen to have several thousand dollars to spend, you can always invest in a full-fledged boxing ring!
